TORONTO, Ontario – June 9, 2022 – Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) was honoured today with eight 2023 Vincentric Best Value in Canada Awards™, as well as seven 2023 Vincentric Lowest Cost to Own in Canada Awards™, making it the ninth consecutive year - and 12th year overall – that Toyota and Lexus vehicles have received more Vincentric Best Value in Canada Awards™ than any other automaker.
Vehicles recognized with Vincentric Best Value in Canada Awards™ are compared against competitors in the same segments and are awarded for having lower than expected ownership costs. Value is determined using a statistical analysis that incorporates the current market price and total cost of ownership of all 2023 model year vehicles.
For the sixth time, TCI was honoured with the “Best Value in Canada: SUV & Van Brand” category award and the “Best Value in Canada: Passenger Car Brand” category. In addition, TCI was also awarded six “Best Value in Canada” model level awards in the “Compact”, “Mid-Size”, “Luxury Sports Car”, “Mid-Size SUV”, “Large SUV”, and “Minivan” segments.
Strength in electrified value
Confirming the strength of TCI’s efforts on the electrified vehicle front, most Best Value in Canada recipients, as well as many Lowest Cost to Own in Canada recipients, are either dedicated hybrid or plug-in hybrid models, or are available with a hybrid powertrain.
“We’re proud that our vehicles have received more Vincentric Best Value in Canada Awards™ than any other automaker for nine consecutive years,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Toyota Canada Inc. “These awards confirm the strength of our electrification path and illustrate our commitment to offering Canadian consumers excellent value vehicles in every segment, year after year.”
